About InstaSaver
InstaSaver is a small, free web tool for saving public Instagram media. You paste a link, we read the publicly available metadata for that post, and we hand back the media files it contains.
How it works
Instagram publishes structured data for public posts, which is what powers embeds and link previews. We read that data server-side, pick the highest-quality file in it, and stream it to you with a sensible filename. There is no browser extension, no APK, and nothing running in the background on your device.
What we do not do
- We never ask for your Instagram username or password.
- We do not touch private accounts or login-gated content.
- We do not keep a library of what you download.
- We do not add watermarks or re-encode files.
Limits worth knowing
Instagram changes its public endpoints frequently and rate-limits aggressively. A request may occasionally fail; waiting a moment and retrying usually resolves it. Stories and private posts are out of scope by design — see the Story page for why.
